About Me!

Hi! My name is Siddharth Seth, and I’m a final year student at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. I’m really grateful for these last four years in college, as they have exposed me to a whole gamut of fields, activities, and interests. Among these, computer science is the field where I’ve truly found my calling. I’m proficient in computer programming, graphic designing, animation, and image processing, simultaneously deriving from self-learning and the knowledge of professors on campus. More recently, I’ve been working on a comprehensive project related to human-computer interaction, one of which even secured a research funding from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

My time with the department of Paper Evaluation and Presentation will always be memorable to me, both for the way it developed my character and for the friends I made there. Successfully pitching and organizing the Asia’s first Ig Nobel Lecture Series was an eye-opener in many ways, and the experiences shall never be forgotten.

I have been invited to the 2012 Rolex Leadership Forum, Delhi and was selected as the Microsoft Student Partner in 2011 and again in 2012. I was awarded the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) award for the being among the top 30 student startups in the country. More recently, I have been awarded the 2013 Mantra Award for Outstanding Leadership by BITS Pilani’s Alumni Association.

I’ve also dabbled in the fields of public administration, event management, and entrepreneurship, apart from being involved with multiple NGOs like Ekta Parishad and Pravah which works for land reforms and on issues of social justice respectively.

In my free time, I like to explore new places, interact with people, and spend time with my family.
